Robert Peel Primary School

Trips & Visits

Much use is made of our local environment to support the children’s learning across all areas of the curriculum. We ask for your permission when your child starts at Robert Peel to be able to take children on local visits. These may include visits to other schools, walk to the Sandhills and visiting the Church. You will always be informed if your children are going to be leaving the school.

At times we take children further afield as part of their learning and personal development. These trips will require your consent for your child to attend and a financial contribution.

Our most recent trips have included visiting:

  • Cambridge and taking a river boat trip,
  • Whipsnade Zoo,
  • Stibbington as an evacuee,
  • Cromer seaside,
  • National Space Centre,
  • The Gordon Craig Theatre for a Christmas Pantomime and travelling by train.

In addition, from Year 4, children can take part in an overnight residential.

All these experiences are crucial for a child’s development and they get so much pleasure from taking part in them.
